How to book a first session

To book a free, no-obligation 30-minute phone or Zoom call to discuss how we might work together, or to arrange a first session, please call and leave a message with your name and number on my confidential voicemail, or text or email me. I resumed face to face sessions with clients on 1st June 2021. I also offer Zoom or telephone sessions if you prefer.

Cost and payment

Each session is 60 minutes (1 full hour) long and costs £70.00.

Payment is by cash or cheque at the start of each session, or by BACS transfer on the day or beforehand.

Appointment days and times

Appointments are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesday and Thursday the first is at 11am and the last at 6.30pm; and on Wednesdays sessions are from 2pm with evening slots at 6.30 and 8pm. Please get in touch to check availability.

Most clients attend at the same time each week. Having a regular time to focus on your needs and issues is often the most effective way to use therapy. However, I'll do all I can to offer you an alternative session if you have ad hoc work or other commitments.

Number of sessions

This is entirely up to you. You may decide at the start that you’d like a fixed number of sessions, or prefer to have the option of a longer term exploration of what is troubling you. We’ll discuss this at our first session, and then regularly review it together, to ensure the therapy is still helpful and relevant to you and your life. You can decide at any time that you’re ready to end therapy.


I take confidentiality very seriously, and this will be discussed with you at our first meeting.

Covid-19 response

I have now resumed face to face sessions (since 1st June 2021), and also offer Zoom or telephone sessions if you prefer. I do all I can to ensure your comfort and safety if we're meeting in person, and we can discuss the practicalities beforehand.

Location, directions and amenities

Sessions take place in an airy and welcoming room in Dalston, London E8, easily accessible from the City, West End and elsewhere in east London. Full address details will be provided when you book your first session.

Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction overground stations are less than 10 minutes walk away, and bus routes 30, 38, 56, 67, 76, 149, 236, 242 and 488 are close by.

There is secure indoor bicycle storage, and I can provide parking permits for a small charge – please ask when booking if you’d like to use either of these.

There are toilet facilities, but no waiting room, so please arrive no earlier than five minutes before your session.

There is a flight of ten steps to the main door.
